Well, I went to the hot and not humid state of Arizona to spend a week with my grandparents. And let me tell you, it was A LOT of fun.
We went so many places, I can barely remember it all! Luckily, I have a calender of the week that says what I did each day. I dun feel like going day by day, so I'll just say what I did in order of when I did it.
Lesee.... we went to the Gaslight Theater, and my cousin Megan showed up, which was cool cuz I hadn't seen her since I was 5 and she was in the 8th grade. >she's about 23, but looks like she could be my age!< The show we saw was called "The Freedom League of America", which is a spin off of the Justice League. There was Megaman, who was like superman >even though there's already a megaman...<, Lady Liberty, like Wonder woman, and the Streak, like Flash. They saved the world from this alien guy who looked kinda like a Clingon... That's all I feel like saying...
Then we went to the Titan II missile silo, which was the only one that was turned into a museum. Scenes of Star Trek First Contact were filmed there, which was cool because we had just watched the movie two days before we went there. When we were done there, we went to have lunch at a Casino. No worries, we didn't go anywhere near the Casino part. When we were done there, we went to the Mission, which is an unfinished church that the Spaniards had been building. They still have services there, and keep it restored. They had half of the outside cleaned when we were there. so half was white and half white with dirt on it. When we were done there we went bowling, and I lost terribly. My Grandpa almost bowled a perfect game, except during the 7th or 8th turn he didn't hit them all the first turn, which ended the strike streak.
My grandma did a short model shoot while I was there, where I put on different outfits and posed however she said. None of them really look like me though... They either look like my cousin
Wednesday, we drove up to Windy Point and had a picnic, and climbed on some rocks and stuff. This was on Mt Lemon, which surrounded the whole city of Tuson. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing the hujungo thing! It was amazing! And then we went to this place where my grandparents go on Wednesdays to squaredance. I didn't dance, I mainly sat there and watched, with a few people coming up and talking to me, like asking me where I was from and who I belonged to. >they thought I was my grandma's daughter.< Watching all the dancing got me thinking about when we had to square dance in middle school, and reminded me of the one of my partners... *shivers*
Second to last day, we went to the International Wildlife Museum. I loved looking at all the animals they had! Some were really lifelike! But sadly, there weren't any Red Pandas... >I was gonna get a picture for you Tori! But they didn't have any!< After the Museum we went home, and then went Mini Golfing when it got cooler. I dun remember what place I got, but I think I did okay.
Last day, I went with Sabino Canyon with just my Grandpa. There weren't many people on the tour, but it was still nice. The guide spotted a Crane on the was back, and pointed it out. She seemed to really like it. ^^ Since we went to the Canyon in the morning, we had a lot of time to just do whatever. I got to drive the Golf Cart around, and spotted a bobcat crossing the street on another road. we drove over to where it was, but it was already gone. It came back out to cross another street behind up, then jumped over a fence into someone's back yard. Apparently they have a residential bobcat in their neighborhood... Anyways, we went swimming for awhile, then my grandma taught me how to do this really cool design that she paints a lot, though mine wasn't as good as hers.
That about wraps up my trip. I'm tired of typing, and I bet you got tired of reading, didn't you?
